Close to 2,000 attendees from over 30 countries attended Asia’s largest digital marketing event in Singapore-
Singapore – July 6, 2011 – For the fourth year running, dmg::events, the leading conferences and exhibitions organizer for the global digital marketing community has successfully wrapped ad:tech Singapore 2011. The two day exhibition and conference, endorsed by the Singapore Exhibition and Convention Bureau and supported by the Media Development Authority of Singapore, brought together movers and shakers across all industries to discuss the future of digital marketing through seven thought provoking keynote sessions, 32 panels and workshops and a dynamic show floor.
In addition to a 26 per cent increase in attendees this year, ad:tech Singapore 2011 welcomed attendees from all around the globe with 28 per cent of attendees representing participants from abroad. This number continues to grow each year, demonstrating ad:tech’s ability to attract marketers with diverse backgrounds and geographies to offer attendees a rich global perspective for their business and networking needs.
For the first time, ad:tech Singapore featured several new initiatives targeted at start-ups and entrepreneurs including an online business matching program and a start-up pavilion. The start-up pavilion was a huge success, with 10 companies participating in the program while the online business matching program, vital for participants who want to network with the right people, saw more than 100 meetings scheduled. In addition, six members of the Digital Advertising Alliance also exhibited at this year's event.
James Hawkins, Executive Director, Performance Marketing shared his confidence in ad:tech’s ability to deliver valuable content and digital experts. “This was certainly the strongest ad:tech Singapore to date. A variety of excellent key note speakers supported with insightful, practical view points from digital leaders across the region. The networking is second to none and valuable for anyone looking to broaden their digital horizons. ad:tech Singapore continues to be the region's event of the year.”
Jason Kuperman, Vice President, Omnicom Digital Asia Pacific, Omnicom Group echoed similar sentiments by adding, "ad:tech Singapore 2011 once again brought together the best players in the digital industry, both globally and locally, to share their insights on what matters to marketing in the digital world we live in. Each year the level of conversation grows in sophistication and this year was no exception. The topics discussed at ad:tech signal the issues which the industry will be focused on for the near future."
Other exhibitors showed strong enthusiasm and support for ad:tech’s ongoing role as the marquee industry event that all companies should attend to gain insight and business contacts. Wyvan Xu, Director, OOm Singapore shared, “ad:tech Singapore is one of the important platforms in Singapore for OOm to gain great exposure. Definitely a value for money investment and we will be participating with a bigger presence in 2012,” while Euan Wilcox, Regional Managing Partner, The Upper Story noted, “I look forward to ad:tech Singapore each year – it is hands down the best place to see the regional industry professionals we need to keep in touch with.”
“We are so pleased with how this year’s event has turned out and have received an overwhelming level of positive feedback and comments from exhibitors, partners and delegates. As the event expands each year, so does the content so we are really proud to offer such a wide breadth of experience and key learnings for marketers of all backgrounds and experiences. One of the highlights of this year’s event were the new initiatives to drive innovation for start-ups and entrepreneurs and securing the International Marketing Activities Programme (iMAP) funding (supported by the International Enterprise Singapore) for the first time and that really demonstrates how ad:tech Singapore continues to mature and reach new audiences,” said Paul Beckley, Vice President, ad:tech Singapore.
Papers and presentations from this year’s event will be made available in mid-July and can be downloaded here: www.ad-tech.com/Singapore.
